Modern Slavery Statement

This statement sets out Mueller Europe Limited's actions to understand all potential modern slavery risks related to its business and to establish steps to ensure that there is no slavery or human trafficking in its own business or its supply chains. This statement relates to actions and activities during the financial year 1st January 2021 to 31st December 2021.

Mueller Europe Limited is the only manufacturer of copper tube in the UK. We supply copper tube for plumbing, heating and a wide range of industrial applications to the UK, Europe, Middle East and the Far East. As part of the UK’s Manufacturing Sector, the company recognises that it has a responsibility to take a robust approach to slavery and human trafficking.

The organisation is committed to preventing slavery and human trafficking in its corporate activities, and to ensuring that its supply chains are free from slavery and human trafficking.

We acknowledge that slavery and human trafficking are still practices that take place globally, but as a company we are aware of our responsibility to ensure that we meet all legislation in regard to the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and to provide working conditions within our own organisation that provide dignity and respect to all.

We are committed to ensuring that all new suppliers conduct their business to the highest standard of ethics. During the Supplier approval process, each company is requested to confirm their compliance to the Modern Slavery Act and during the approval process evidence is requested to support this statement. Consideration is given to the Supply Chain and associated risk, when gathering this evidence. An annual review of our major suppliers is completed to ensure their compliance to the act.

The company also aims to regularly review and amend its policies and procedures to reflect and integrate our stance on the modern slavery act 2015. Policies are normally reviewed by the Human Resources, Health and Safety or Quality Department and approved by the board of Directors.

This statement has been approved by the company’s board of Directors, who will review and update it on a regular basis.
